Grossenbacher Fun Run Harness

The Grossenbacher Fun Run harness offers full freedom of movement for all activities. The long cut of this harness offers optimal shoulder and elbow freedom so that your dog can move without restriction. Grossenbacher harnesses are made from a special triple-laminated fabric that has no pressure points and does not chafe. Thanks to the ergonomic cut, the girth straps can be adjusted so that the dog feels no pressure on the spine. Grossenbacher uses high-quality, sturdy buckles that can withstand heavy loads.

These harnesses are very light: 3XS-75grams; XS-110grams; M-170grams.

For everyday use, it is recommended to attached the leash only to the back ring. If there is any tension on the leash and on the harness, this is distributed optimally on the dog's body. The sensitive neck area remains free and the spine feels no pressure.

If you would like to do close heel work or training or you need your dog to be closer to you, using a double-ended lead the two clips can be attached one to the first ring (situated near the neck) and one to the back ring.

We recommend using the first ring ONLY for training purposes or on a temporary basis. This is because if there is tension only on this ring at the back of the neck, the harness is potentially pulled upwards on the neck and could put pressure on the dog's windpipe.

There is a handle on the back (oriented front to back) so you can briefly grab it to hold onto your dog. (Sizes 3XS and below have no handle.)

At Oct 2023, we have some special limited edition Fun Run harnesses in purple or turquoise with grey Edelweiss trim (see picture gallery - the purple is a pinky-purple). These limited editions are not available for backorder.

These harnesses run quite large so please consult the size chart; don't simply get a size small because that's what size usually fits your dog in other gear.
Please contact us if a size you want is out of stock and we can add it to the next shipment from Switzerland.

NB. Grossenbacher harnesses are sized by breed and weight, not by girth measurement. (The girth straps on Grossenbacher harnesses generally have a large range of adjustment.) The best way to get the correct size for your dog is to come into the fitting studio and try them on. If you order online you may need to exchange if the first size you purchase isn't quite right.

Backorders / Custom Orders
Backorders are accepted on non-limited edition items.
The wait for backorders and custom orders can be up to 3 or sometimes even 4 months.
Custom orders cannot be returned/exchanged (except as per Australian Consumer Law). Please ensure you know what size will fit by coming into the fitting studio and trying them on your dog if possible, so you are not disappointed when a custom order can't be exchanged.
When placing an order for a 'Custom' harness, please include your requested base colour and the edge colour in the order notes. We will then check and confirm your order and advise the ETA.
The standard sizes we offer are 5XS up to L. Other sizes (10XS to 3XL) can be ordered on request - please contact us if you would like to order a size that is not in the drop down list. Sometimes we may have sizes outside 5XS-L in stock. These are shown in the drop down list on this page. If in stock the variant will say "Add to Cart".

NB. Online orders that include backorders and/or custom orders are shipped when all items included your purchase are available to be shipped together. If you would like an in stock item to be shipped sooner, please place separate orders.
